PANKH : Project on empowerment for girls launched in city, Mission Deep as Partner

FICCI Ladies Organisation (FLO), a women’s wing of the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry launched a project titled ‘Pankh — Umeed Ki Udaan’ to empower young girls here today.The project is an initiative of the FICCI FLO SWAYAM in conjunction with BD Bansal Charitable Trust to empower underprivileged girls by providing them vocational skills through proper programmes.FICCI Ladies Organisation chairperson Monika Chowdhary said, “The objective of this project is to make young girls self reliant, independent and to open various windows of aspiration and hope for them.”The project shall begin with 250 girls from Mission Deep Educational Trust. These girls shall be mentored and trained by the faculty of the Pankh Project.Speaking on the occasion, Kamalpreet Singh, president of the Mission Deep Educational Trust, said, “It is a matter of joy and pride that our girls are going to be part of such a great project. I express my gratitude towards FICCI Ladies. I am sure that all girls shall be benefited by it.”
